Google Chrome

The long running rumors are true.  Google is releasing its own browser, tomorrow.  This is very interesting to me.  I am a huge supporter of Google, I like their services and products immensely.  In this case however, I am not sure this is the right move.  There is already a lot of competition in the browser market, and many very good browsers.  Can Google really add anything of value to this browser that does not exist in another browser?  Also what kind of information will Google Chrome gather? Could this perhaps be more along the lines of a container to run web apps, rather than a browser.  We will find out tomorrow.

Update:  It is officialy available.  Took a quick look, and I think it has promise.  As I surmised it really seems aimed at being a web app container rather than a full browser with lots of bells an whistles.  I really like the abillity to crate a webapp shortcut on the desktop which opens in its own window and its own taskbar entry. Lifehacker has a pretty good first look.
